Teaching Statement

A career in education means being a life-long learner; to be reflective, flexible, and adaptive. I believe in educating the whole child, and to guide each student to reach their fullest potential. I strive to develop a strong sense of self in children, as well as an awareness for others. I trust that every child brings a unique set of attributes to a classroom, and can contribute to creating a safe and positive environment to grow and develop. Teaching students to celebrate their unique qualities will allow them to not only recognize these in themselves, but also in others around them. I commit to a career in education to foster creativity, and instill a love of learning in my future students.
